I am a registered and accredited member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists) and a registered and accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).

My background is mainly in care- I have worked with many vulnerable client groups; children, the homeless, those with learning disabilities, people with mental health issues and the elderly. I also spent several years working at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre. I am a practising Buddhist but I have no wish to convert anybody, I welcome clients from all spiritual traditions and none.

I have been working in private practice for over 15 years and I am currently an advisor for Cambridge Counselling Service. I have also spent 5 years employed directly by the NHS as Part of a Community Counselling Service. I received additional training and accredition in Person Centred experiential therapy in order to do this.

I am also trained to level 1 in emotional focused therapy, Level 2 in internal family systems therapy and I have completed additional trainning in working with trauma (Janina fisher complex trauma level 1&2.)

I have worked successfully with a wide range of issues and with people from all kinds of backgrounds. Anxiety, depression, anger grief e.t.c.  Generally I dont like to think of myself a specialising in one kind of issue or another, becauase I am interested in the person underneath, and helping them to heal.  I want to get to the root of the what is really going and not just treat the symptom.
